A smoky, matte spherical vessel, marked by fire and encircled with delicate incised lines, rests on a wooden block. From its shoulder rises a flame-shaped mass of thick, twisting coils in richly crusty cobalt blue and soft chalky white. The scorched base and upward-reaching forms vividly evoke burning vegetation and the striking aftermath of a wildfire.
